Desert Recollection

A group photo with Fr. Pfeiffer after the first day of recollection.
Abu Dhabi, UAE- Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer visited the emirate of Abu Dhabi last April 14-16, 2011 in time for the Lenten Season. A small group of newcomers and traditionalists was gathered for a short recollection held at one of the participants' residence.

The two-day recollection was composed of a series of talks on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and interspersed with meditation, Rosary. Holy Masses were also offered and confessions were heard. The activity was culminated with a Stations of the Cross.

The activity was attended by around nine people. But due to work obligations, some had to excuse on the second day.

Fr. Pfeiffer will be back on 24th of April for the Easter celebration.

Viva Christo Rey!

AoM Welcomes New Chaplain

Rev. Fr. Albert Ghela is the new chaplain of the league, replacing Fr. R. Dolotina who served for two years. It may be recalled that after Fr. Dolotina's stint as chaplain, he was not replaced immediately. For a long time, the league did not have a chaplain. The clans fell directly under the supervision of the local chaplain assigned to a particular mass center where a clan is established.

Like the previous chaplain, Fr. Ghela was a captain of San Miguel Clan in Marbel, South Cotabato. He joined the SSPX and was ordained together with Fr. Dolotina and Fr. Fallarcuna in Holy Cross Seminary in December 2006.

For two years now, Fr. Ghela was appointed chaplain of the annual Traditional Catholic Pilgrimage in Bohol that is being organized by the League. His appointment as chaplain of the Apostles of Mary formalizes his involvement to the youth group.

In behalf of the members of the Apostles of Mary, the National Council welcomes the new chaplain!

Vive la compagnie!

Happy Birthday!

The League's website just turned one this August. The website sponsored by Webs.com was launched by Seymour Apalisok who was then the Vice Chief Captain with Jerwin Aguinaldo as Chief. The website was developed when the old website, which was sponsored by Geocities was going to be deleted, as the comapny would no longer host free websites.

It turned out this was a better idea as the current website offers a wider range of features. It is not as versatile as expected of a website due to its account limitation as a free site. However, one can browse photos, videos, join forums and check the calendar for activities with ease and simplicity. The site is also linked to various sites and other relevant files and documents available in the web, instead of creating many pages within the site. This way, space usage is maximized and the site is not overloaded with data.

The development team behind the new website is asking the members to spread the news and make the website more visible  and known to friends, both online and non-online. Here's how, among many ways:

1. Tell your friends in school to visit the website.
2. Email your friends online.
3. Create a link of the site in your personal blogs, if you have.
3. Post an ad about the League with contacts and web address on it.
4. Advertise the website in your group and individual apostolate.

These are just few ways by which you one can help increase traffic in our site. Remember that while the internet has become the source of human corruption, it can also be very well used as a tool to promote the Catholic Faith, Traditiona, the Latin Mass and our League.

Note: Only members (active and inactive), aspirants and traditionalists may register to the site. Registration is necessary to join the forums, upload videos and post comments.

ACIM-Asia Medical Mission

A volunteer checks patient as others wait for their turn.

Another medical mission was sponsored by ACIM-Asia in Sampaloc, Rizal some kilometers south of Manila, Philippines. Thirty five French and local volunteers like members of the League in Manila came to do the annual event.

The mission required a herculean task and the Apostles of mary was there to offer such help along with volunteers from other groups. More than just a plain medical mission, some volunteers taught catechism and some religious instructions to patients, especially the children while waiting for their turn.

Some volunteers act as interpreters for both the foreigners and patients.

Despite the heavy rains, long queues and illnesses which the doctors and volunteers themselves experienced, it was yet another successful medical mission. Thanks to the foreign and local volunteers for a job worthy of accolade and heartfelt gratitude. Hundreds of patients and marginalized members of the society benefited from such act of charity.
